In my commencement speech for the Clarkson School Class of 2015, I reflected on the bold choices and unique paths we took, emphasizing personal growth, self-reliance, and community importance. 2017: TDWI Leadership Summit, Chicago, IL: Architecting Modern Big Data API Ecosystems

In my TDWI 2017 presentation, I discussed how to architect a modern big data enterprise by leveraging API ecosystems and open-source solutions. I emphasized the importance of integrating APIs to create a resilient, interconnected enterprise, enabling effective big data utilization and fostering innovation through a design-driven culture. Addressing trends in the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry, I highlighted ADP’s approach with the ADP Marketplace, which supports a wide range of partners and developers. By offering open-source libraries and fostering a developer community, we empower “citizen developers” to contribute. I also covered essential technical aspects like security, redundancy, and API usage analysis, concluding with a call to leverage existing ecosystems and innovate in delivering products and services.

2019: TDWI Leadership Summit, Chicago, IL: Architecting Modern Big Data API Ecosystems

In my presentation at TDWI 2019, I discussed the creation of a modern cloud-native data API ecosystem tailored for the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry, highlighting ADP’s innovative approach. I addressed industry trends like the gig economy and big data, and introduced GraphQL as a flexible alternative to REST APIs, emphasizing its benefits for data federation and real-time updates. I also covered the challenges of standardizing a global data model and implementing data protection, showcasing how we leveraged AWS for scalable, secure data management. By adopting these advanced technologies and practices, we enhanced data discoverability and security, delivering significant value to our clients.

2023: Safe and Secure: Seminar on Cybersecurity for Seniors and Their Families

On November 5th, 2023, I hosted a seminar at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple in New Brunswick, NJ, focusing on cybersecurity for seniors and their families. This initiative was driven by my personal experience with the digital footprints left by loved ones after their passing. The seminar aimed to empower seniors with knowledge on protecting their personal information online. I recorded the 45-minute presentation for wider access to accommodate those who couldn’t attend.
