On November 5th, 2023, I had the privilege of hosting a seminar on cybersecurity for seniors at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple in New Brunswick, NJ.
What prompted me to create this seminar is my loss. In 12 months, I lost my best friend and my father to cancer. In both cases, I observed and experienced the challenges of dealing with the online footprint our loved ones leave behind.
After attending seminars on elder care and estate planning, I realized that what was missing was the inclusion of our digital assets and cybersecurity.
I created this seminar to empower our community’s older adults and their loved ones with the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital world safely. Understanding how to protect personal information online is crucial.
In addition to hosting the seminar in person, I recorded it for the benefit of others. If you watch this 45-minute presentation, I would greatly appreciate feedback and suggestions as I think of creating a series of these videos.
